Chapter 1: Chapter One: The Crafty, Witty Witches
Deep in the Kokiri forest, a young hero rests his troubles away. Meanwhile, outside his tree house, many Kokiri were being chased and changed by two witches that didn’t look too familiar. One of the witches was on a burnt orange broom with chocolate brown bristles. This witch had short, spring green hair, with golden-rod eyes, and wore a beautiful gold and red Chinese dress. The other witch on a tumbleweed tan broom with scarlet red bristles had long, forest green hair with sickening, blood red eyes, and wore a long midnight-blue dress with what looked like blood stains dotting the front and back, and the stains covering both sleeves. These were the witch twins, Twika and Froka. A boy dressed in all black with a black bandana covering his left eye ran up into the young hero’s home, and panted heavily from running so hurriedly. He noticed the hero was asleep, and sighed as he took out a bucket of water and splashed it on the sleeping hero. The hero woke up and growled at the black-cloaked boy. “Hurrylinkthesetwowitcheshaveturnedallthekokiriintheforest *breath* intostrangecreaturesandsendingthemtoaplaceihavenotevenheardof!!” He shouted, as Link sighed. He got up, walked to the boy that had woken him up, and covered his mouth.
“Alright, Mamido. Tell me this slowly and carefully.” Link said, before removing his hand. Mamido took a deep breath, and sighed as well.
“Okay. There’s these two witches that have been flyin’ around changing all of the Kokiri into strange, Keaton-like creatures and sending them to a place where these creatures actually live.” Mamido quickly explained, now obviously drenched in his own sweat.
“Witches? Are you sure they’re not the same ones I defeated just a few years ago?” Link questioned, now interested.
“They didn’t look like them, but whoever they are, they’re looking for us!” Mamido looked out Link’s small window, and saw them looking straight at him, “Oh shanit, they even know where we’re hiding!”
“Mamido, why is it that whenever you’re around something bad is always bound to happen?” Link asked, sitting down on his bed and drinking from his bottle of milk.
“I have a plan!” Mamido suddenly said, which make Link spurt out milk.
“Wow, that’s a first. Anyway, what’s this plan of yours?” Link asked, wiping the milk off his face and taking another sip.
“I’m gonna distract them while you go for help!” Mamido said, as Link spurt out more milk.
“Whoa, a plan like that coming from someone like you?! How am I sure you’re the real Mamido?!” Link said, coughing a bit.
“Link, don’t joke around, this is serious business we’re doing here! We gotta stop these witches before they aim for other colonies, or even Zelda!” Mamido shouted, frowning. As soon as Link heard the word ‘Zelda’, he jumped up and walked to Mamido.
“Let’s do this. You run out first to distract them, so that I can sneak away.” He said, with his ‘bring-it-on’ face.
“Right! I’m on this!” Mamido said, running off to distract the witches. Link was just about to sneak away when he heard Mamido screaming, and looked out his window. He saw the black-cloaked boy shiver, trapped in a corner with the witches readying their wands to transform him as well. Suddenly a bright white light appeared, blinding Link for a few moments until the light died down. When he looked out again, all he saw was a Keaton-like creature with black fur where clothing would be. “Oh no, they got Mamido… I have to save Zelda before they go after her as well!” Link whispered, scurrying out and towards the entrance of the forest. The witches were now following close behind, now finished transporting Mamido. “Oh shoot, c’mon legs don’t give up on me now…” He tried to run faster, but the witches managed to use their magic to transform him into the Keaton-like creature and send him off into another dimension…
