Chapter 1: A new Journey
Note: The Link in this story is the one that appeared in Ocarina Of Time and Majoras Mask. The Link in this story is also the same one that went to Holodrum and Labrynna.
Chapter I
Through forested land the hero journeyed, searching for wisdom that will enable him to understand new threats to his home. In every realm he passed through, he has fought and overcome many creatures and has lost and made many friends. But, there are always more challenges to face, and the hero has grown older and wiser with every realm visited and every villain defeated. However he still won't return to the realm of Hryule, believing that none shall recognise him, or even remember who he was. And so Link continued, finding more challenges and slaying those who stood in his way never staying in any town longer than necessary and always moving.
Now link found himself in a new realm, not unlike Hryule or Termina but still strange and new. The forest Link found himself in was not unlike the one he had grown up in before he started his journey. How he missed those woods! Link's longing to return to Hryule had been increasing lately but he continued his journey, seeking knowledge and answers. He found a small clearing, deep within the forest and sat down to rest, but no sooner had he sat down, a roar sounded from deep within the forest. Drawing his blade and readying his shield, Link walked forward, looking for the source of such a noise. A second roar came from the woods, much closer to Link than the first. The bushes started to rustle and Link turned to see what the disturbance was. Suddenly a vast hulking shape barged out of the greenery and barged into Link, knocking the hero into the air and Link slammed against a tree on the opposite side of the clearing.
The Creature turned and stared at Link, drool flowing out its mouth. The creature was taller than Link and stood unsteadily on two hoofed feet. The creatures pig like face was small compared to the rest of the creatures body. Just looking at this pig-creature Link could see why it had so easily knocked him into the air. The creature's arms were huge and the bulk was almost completely muscle. The creature sniffed uncertainly and gave a roar before approaching Link. Other roars erupted from the forest but the creature paid these no heed and advanced toward Link. Link waited for the creature to get closer to him, Waiting for the opportune moment to attack the beast.
When the beast was only a few steps away, Link thrust his sword deep inside its potbellied stomach and withdrew his blade, before rolling away from his foe and jumping to his feet. The creature's look of puzzlement was almost comical, as it had never had its prey attack it before. With a roar of anger the beast turned and charged towards Link. Link barely managed to evade the attack and quickly thrust his sword into the creatures back, causing thick, black blood to pour from its wound. This only seemed to aggravate the creature as it roar once again and ran toward Link, one of it's massive fists curled into a ball, ready to pound Link into oblivion if necessary. Link jumped back as the creature swung its fist and retaliated by thrusting his sword deep into the creature's head. However the creature swept Link to one side and attempted to pull the blade out of its head, only damaging it's hands in the process. Link, grunting from the pain that the impact with a tree had caused, managed to stand, but was amazed to see the creature was still alive. Even though the sword embedded in the creature's head hadn't killed the beast, the amount of blood it had lost should have caused it to die. Link drew his bow and shot an arrow at the beast's throat. The creature gave a squeal as the arrow pierced its throat, but still it lived.
It turned toward Link and started to charge again, only for the beast to fall a few feet away from Link. Cautiously, Link approached the beast and drew his sword out of its skull. What manner of creature could withstand so many blows, and lose so much blood before dying? Gradually, Link became aware of somebody clapping. Link quickly scanned the area looking for the source of the noise only to find that nobody was there.
As Link turned to leave he heard a voice say "Up here, fool". Turning, Link saw a figure dressed in black standing on a branch high above him. The figure was a man that looked no older than 18, the same age as Link, but he gave the impression that he was far older. The man's red hair was shoulder length and gave a contrast against the man's pale white skin. He looked at Link for a while, as if he was studying him. Apparently satisfied he started walking toward the corpse. For reasons he couldn't explain Link didn't trust this man. "Who are you?" asked Link. The man turned to him and gave him a strange look, as if he had only just noted the green-clad warrior. "My name is Sparda. You are Link." Sparda replied. This wasn't a question and Link couldn't help but wonder how Sparda could possibly know his name and was about to ask Sparda how he knew when the man started to talk. " Of course you are Link. All of the so-called Heroes of Hryule have been called Link. You are no different. But your name is unimportant. You 'Heroes' are an old relic of a kingdom that's splendour is gone. This is a new age, Link, and you are not needed. Tell me, why are you here? "
Link was puzzled by the mans' speech. What did he mean by saying that he wasn't needed and what was this new age? Still puzzled Link replied, "I have come to seek understanding and answers." Sparda gave a small laugh at Link's reply and said, "You are not needed any more. The time for heroes is long pass and the answers you seek will prove meaningless! You seek for the reason why Twinrova were resurrected and why the attacked the oracles. You are foolish beyond belief! At least the last one had some sense. But he didn't survive long here, in the realm of Anmourn. And if you knew what's good for you, you would leave. But you don't have anywhere to go. You fear that returning to Hryule will somehow destroy you! Foolishness indeed." The man began to laugh and took something out of his coat. It appeared to be a long metal stick, with wood decorations along its side. " Do you know what this is?" Sparda said, raising his voice and trying not to laugh. "Of course you don't! With a single pull of this ring I could end your miserable existence." The man pointed the device at Link and said one last thing. "As I said, this is a new age and you're not needed. Give my regards to the other 'heroes' in hell!" The man pulled the ring attached to the handle of the device and the tube emitted a sound like thunder. Suddenly, Link felt pain race through his chest. Looking down, Link noticed a rapidly swelling pool of blood forming on his tunic and he fell, the last thing he saw was Sparda smiling and then Link fell into darkness.

However, you may want to avoid repeating names too much, as sheiklord said (in other words).
