Chapter 1: The Creation and the Destruction
Long ago, the Fours Giants looked at Hyrule. They saw how imaginative the golden goddesses had to be to create such a magnificent and peaceful world were life forms could progress and lead such long and joyful existences.
Inspired, the Four Giants created a world in the image of Hyrule. Because the Giants had less imagination than the golden goddesses, the life forms looked nearly the same; but the people were less peaceful. The Giants called this land Termina, but the world was not as peaceful or complete as Hyrule.
The Giants tried to fix this, but alone, they were unable to.
So, the Giants created two powerful entities to keep the peace in Termina, protecting the peoples and influencing their minds. One was named Oni, and the other Majora. At the beginning they were friendly towards each other, but slowly they fell into a quarrel. Started by disagreeable remark, the argument turned to taunting and became vicious. Soon after they started to compete for power against the other.
Despite the fact they were forbidden to make public appearances, they began to wage open war. Majora appear as a magician and Oni as a powerful warrior. Both Majora and Oni displayed their powers to the lesser races and demanded to be known as gods. Because of his display of power, the people of ancient Clock Town labeled Oni "The Fierce Deity", but Majora kept his own name even among the ancient races.
The Giants were very angry and tried to exile them to the Sacred Realm. But Oni and Majora had grown very strong, even strong enough to defy the Giants. They were able to escape every attempt to banish them.
By this point, Oni and Majora had become far more than rivals, they were inherent antagonists. Battling on without remorse, they caused permanent damage to Termina and its people...

"This time, I will have you, Majora!" Oni roared as he release a fire spell on Majora.
"Not this time, you weakling!" replied Majora as he countered it easily. The Fierce Deity tried to shoot a beam to his prey, but it only his Majora's cape.
Majora's eyes started glowing red and began to shoot lasers from them. Oni tried to dodge, but he didn't have enough time, and the lasers strike him on the stomach. Majora seemed to enjoy that his attack reached the target, but his joy didn't last long. Oni paralyzed Majora with a magical spell and aimed his fingers at the head of his enemy. A chain of sparks rushed onto Majora and made him falling down.
At that moment, Oni looked up and saw the destroyed field of Termina. The southern swamp's waters were poisoned. A tsunami that Majora had created had ravaged the coasts of the Great Seas. The northern mountains were perpetually frozen and Ikana Valleys is surrounded by evil spirits that Majora created to distract Oni.
For the first time since the battle began, Oni and Majora looked to all the disaster they made. It only lasted a few moments. Each start to blaming the other that it was his fault that Termina had been cursed. Soon after, the battle began again.
The Four Giants looked at the war of their two creations. Taking advantage of the situation that Oni and Majora only paid attention to their personal conflict, they reunited their power to make an end to the combat. Oni and Majora were frozen, and then dissappeared.
The Giants imprison Oni and Majora beneath the surface of the land and stripped them of the majority of their powers, hoping they don't escape of their prison. They could only hope this was enough to end the suffering of their land.
