The Imprisoning War
Chapter One
Prologue
A very very long time ago, there existed a world called Hyrule. In that world there was also a country called Hyrule. The whole world spoke of an ancient relic that contained the essence of the gods. That relic was known as the Triforce. There is a sang from the Book of Mudora. The sang goes: Where the Triforce lies the sky shines gold not blue
That is where the wish granting relic makes mortal dreams come true.
Almost everyone in the world heard of this sang and they started searching for the divine Triforce. But the relic lies in a place not reachable to men. The people would have to find away to open the place where the Triforce lies. The people began to become angry and the hunt for the Triforce began to turn to lust for power. Wars began and all of the races of the world were fighting against each other. The Zoras, Gorons, the Gerudo, the Hylians, and many more. It seemed as if all of the races of the world were at each others neck. These wars had so many deaths, that it became known as the War of Death. Then one day a man arose and maintained order in the world. The races of Hyrule signed peace treaties with each other and peace once again reigned. But the people still lusted for the Triforce. Then other men came and ruled over the different countries that the other man was ruling until they came. Then the man who once brought peace to the world ruled over the Country of Hyrule. This is where it all begins. This is the story of a young man who overcame hardships to save the world.
In Kakariko Village there lived a young man that was nineteen. His name was Link. Every night he would have strange nightmares. In his nightmares he would go up to Hyrule Castle and while he was walking across the cement to the entrance he would see all dead guards. Then when he entered the castle and would see more dead guards. He would walk up to the throne room and then hear a loud crash and a wounded Hylian Knight would fall to the ground wearing blue armor. The Hylian Knight would talk to Link.
"The man who did this was--was and then he would die. Link would walk up to the chair that the king would sit in. Then push the chair to the left and a secret passage would appear. He walked into the secret passage and went up lots of stairs until he came to another floor and would see ten dead guards. Then the wind would start to blow fiercely and evil laughing would fill the room. A man would appear and stick up his hand. A gigantic golden blast would shoot out of his hand and just before it would hit Link, he would wake up. One night Link woke up in his bed.
"Why do I have these dreams?" he asked himself, "every night they end the same way. What is going on? Is this some sort of prophecy?" Then he heard a loud crack and looked out his window as fast as he could and saw a lightning strike shooting up from the ground. It started out wide and then got smaller as it went up. The clouds were very gray and the rain was poring down hard. The storm covered all of the Country of Hyrule. Then Link fell back to sleep. The next morning he woke up and sunlight was shining in through his window. He looked out it and could see green grass, dirt roads, and houses near his. Link's bedroom had a bed in the top left corner. There was a window in right next to his bed. In the bottom left there was a table and a brown chair. In the bottom right of the room there was a dresser. On the right of the room right in the middle of the wall there was a door leading to other parts of the house. He got up and started to get dressed. He put on his white shirt and then put his green tunic over it. Link strapped on his belt around his waste and pulled on his white pants. Then he pulled on his boots and put on his green hat that drooped down. Then he pulled on his brown gloves that didn't cover his finger tips. Link had blond hair. He had four long banes. Two banes were hanging over each eye. Link had blue eyes. Link was born during the Fierce Wars and his mother had been wounded. So his mother took him to the Kokiri Forest and left him to the Kokiri children and the Great Deku Tree. The Kokiri always wore a green tunic and a green hat that drooped down. Link didn't know why he didn't where normal close, he just didn't. He walked through the door on the right of the room. He walked down the hallway on the light brown floor and then came to a corner. He turned right and saw another bedroom. This was his uncle's bedroom. He walked some more and then came to a door. On the left of Link there were more rooms of the house. Link opened the door and stepped outside. He saw kids running around the village playing with each other. To the left of him was the way out of the village. To the right of him was a dirt road leading down to a set of houses. In front of him there was another dirt road. He saw one of his friends ahead of him. He walked up to him. His friend had dark brown hair, wore a light blue shirt, black pants, and brown boots. He was standing in front of a little pond of water looking at it. LINK's friend turned his head and looked at Link.
"Hi," he said.
"Hi Ultimus," Link said.
"There's something going on at the castle," said Ultimus.
"What?" asked Link.
"I have no idea," replied Ultimus, "but they won't let any one in."
"Do you think it could have something to do with the Triforce?" Link asked.
"Maybe," Ultimus replied.
"I'm going to go find out," said Link.
"Are you crazy!?" Ultimus asked.
"I know a secret wan in," said Link.
"Well, if you know a secret way in," Ultimus said, "then I'm coming with you." So they headed to the castle. They were walking down the cement path over the mote. Then there were two paths on each side of them. One was on their right and the other on their left. Link turned to the right and they were walking between the fence to keep you from falling into the mote and the castle wall. They were walking on grass. Then they came to another wall and Link turned to the left. Ultimus followed. They saw big bushes. Link walked to the bush in the middle and picked it up to reveal a hole big enough for one man to fall into. Link through the bush at the stone wall. Then he jumped into the hole. Ultimus heard him hit the ground.
"Come on Ultimus!" shouted Link. Ultimus jumped down to. A ladder was on the wall behind them so they could climb out. There were torches on the walls to light the way. They walked on the gray cement and then came to a turn that went to the left. They could either go up the stairs into the castle or go to the left. Link went to the left.
"What are you doing?" Ultimus asked.
"Come on," said Link. So Ultimus followed him. Then they saw some brighter torches and to the left of them there were three steps and at the top was blue carpeting with a treasure chest on it. Link walked up and opened the treasure chest. Inside of the treasure chest were two swords with sheaths. Link took the sword with a silver handle that had red rubies on each side. On each side of the handle there were two rubies. Link's sheath was black. Ultimus took the sword that had a green handle with blue rubies on each side of the handle. On each side of the handle there were two rubies. His sheath was also black.
"Did you know that these were in here?" asked Ultimus.
"No," Link said, "it's just that I've never been down this way and I wanted to see what was down here." They put their swords in their sheaths. Link and Ultimus put their sheaths on their backs. Link had his sheath pointing up to his left shoulder and Ultimus had his sheath pointing up to his right shoulder. Link was left handed and Ultimus was right handed. Then they walked back to the other stairs and walked up them into a dark passage with no torches or light. They came to a big brown door that was on the ceiling. Link stuck his hand up and pulled it back. Link poked his head up from under and saw no soldiers. Then he climbed out on to the red carpeting. Ultimus did the same thing. There were white walls around them. In front of them there was a door. It was brown. They heard footsteps.
"Let's go back down there quick," whispered Link.
"I agree," Ultimus said. So they opened the door and went down. They sat just beneath the door and listened. The door in the room opened and the people stood right above the passage. Link thought that there were two people.
"My lord," one said, "there seems to be some strange activity going on in Death Mountain."
"Do you know what it is?" the other asked.
"No my lord," replied the other, "but it seems that there is a strange portal forming at the top. It will be large enough to channel a man through in a couple of days. Until then we have no idea what it could be."
"Send some men out to Death Mountain," said the other man, "They will arrive at the mountain in a couple of days."
"Yes sir," the other said. Then one man left the room, but the other stayed.
"I have a feeling that this portal is something evil," he said, "Whatever it is I don't like the sound of it." Then he left the room.
"Well," Link said, "now we know what's going on in the castle. There obviously trying to find out what that portal is."
"Well," said Ultimus, "now what do you wanna do?"
"I'm going to get to Death Mountain before those soldiers do," said Link.
"Now I'm starting to think that you really are crazy," said Ultimus.
"Do you wanna come along?" asked Link.
"Is there somebody down here?" a voice asked. Link pulled the door back and climbed out with Ultimus. Then he shut it very silently. They went to the wall opposite of the door. The hatch was pulled open and out stepped someone in blue armor carrying his helmet, sword, and shield. He went and opened the other door. Then he shut it.
"Let's get out of here," said Link. So they went and opened the hatch. They walked back down the stairs, through the path, and climbed the ladder to get out of the passage. They were standing back in the bush area. They heard the castle door open and loads of soldiers came rushing out. They were going to Death Mountain. When the noise was gone Link and Ultimus went back to the village.
"So Ultimus," Link said, "what do you say?"
"Alright," he replied, "but after this don't come up with any more crazy ideas."
"I won't," said Link.
