Termination: Sequence

Chapter 1: Prologue
It has been twenty years since the Hero of Time has left Termina. Current racial divisions have split the races of Termina onto the brink of war. The humans, with their superior army, have blockaded many supplies from getting to the other nations of the world, and refuse to sell to anyone who is not a human. Diplomatic negotiations have failed, and all sides are massing armies in defense for the inevitable invasion.

The technology since the Hero of Time has made fast progress, namely due to one mad scientist. Wars are not now fought with swords and shields but with guns and cannons. There are shortages of ammunition everywhere, and the species are struggling to make alternatives to the precious necessity.

The Deku have long known they would be the first target if a war broke out, mainly because they control two main rivers that flow into the ocean for a strategic standpoint, and they make good servants. A small few are fleeing to the mountains or past the barricades to the ocean in an attempt to outrun the coming disaster, but most are making their stand at the swamp, determined to fight or die.

We begin our story with the Deku, in the Kings chambers, in the misdt of a heated quarrel over the coming demise…

“We will all be doomed if we fight! We must leave the swamp! The Goron and Zora are opening their arms to us for refugees, so I suggest we answer them!” shouted the Deku Queen Llana at here husband, the King

“We WILL answer them. The answer will be a resounding NO! We are more than capable of defending our borders!” the new reigning King, Shantarr Dolgo, shouted back. The old King, the queen’s father, had died a strange illness a few years back, many to this day joke that the Queen had killed him with her constant worrying.

“Don’t you ever stop and think LOGICALLY! They outnumber us seven to one! Even if all our fources were three times better than them, we would be overwhelmed by sheer force! We have to evacuate the area!”

“We will do no such thing! We would simply be running from our problems. We must stand and fight through this storm, so that our way of life can be perserved!”

“ It does not matter! We will be lost any other way! I’m issuing a civilian evacuation. You and your ‘suicide squad’ can stay here and di, but I wwill not let my people be turnde into slaves!” And with that last outburst, Queen Llana stomped off to evacuate her people.
