Evil's Child

Link stared at the one man he had spent years searching for.

The man's eyes showed a strange mix of hate, cunning, and triumph, which seemed unnatural to the young man in green.

This man had been the scourge of the sacred land of Hyrule for many centuries, and his name was known through out the land. Ganondorf. Ganon, surprisingly swiftly for someone of his age, crossed the wide hall in which the two stood.

"Long have I been enslaved in the grip of loneliness," Ganondorf mused quietly, "I am quite sure you, young Hero, have felt the ache inside your heart, as though an invisible demon were plaguing it."

"I am certain that you have longed for a companion to accompany you in hard times, to comfort you in your sorrow. I had felt the same way. Now I am free of the shackes of sorrow, for I have created one to stand by my side."

Link couldn't help but wonder what this man of great evil was talking about. Why would the King of Evil, many time Antagonist of all who dwell in the land, wish for company? What use would this man have with someone who would steal his heart, when he surely doesn't have one? Link figured that he would soon find the answer to these questions, and wondered if he wanted them answered.
