After Termina becme safe, Link, sad after not being able to go to the fair, left through the Lost Woods. He took one very last look at Clock Town and left with Epona.
After what seemed like hours, even days, he reaches Hyrule, just to be forgotten.
Even his best friend Saria din't recognize him. Link just walks away sadly, thinking,
"Back to no fairy, no equipment, nobody to be friends with."

Since evil was banished from Hyrule forthe time being, Link did simple jobs to pass the time. He delivered milk, collected Cuccos, and played old Ocarina songs, though nobody cared. He visited Gorons, Zoras,and Kokiri, yet not a single one recognized him still. Eventually, seven years pass, and no, he was not in the Sacred Realm. He just passed time doing almost nothing.
