Zeldadress.jpgZelda Magic1408 viewsI love this pic. I feel like I can do much better now, but this drawing was a milestone in my photoshoping skills. I did the whole thing on the computer using a mouse (drawing included), and used cell-shading on the dress. I haven't done that much detail on one photoshop before. I also added shine to her hair and all the magic effects using the blur and smudge tool. Now that I've learned about overlays and lighting effects, I feel like I can make this pic SO much better, but I still love it.

It is, after all, SLIGHTLY Twilight Princess inspired... I'm not on model at all though *lol* I didn't use any reference and it shows- but hey, I just wanted the *feel* of... whatever it feels like. Lets see, what else.... Oh, it was done on an Oekaki -one of those PaintChat-Like programs, I used a tablet, and it took 138 minutes. I was learning to use the program, it's different than Oekaki's I had worked on in the past, so I had to fiddle around a bit more.Melora

O-o All the clothes were original designs, since I ddin't have any referances available when I drew it. After I finished it, I realized I forgot Impa. Oops. zelda_gown.jpgZelda at Night1316 viewsOkay, lots of people have been debating about the white line thing. That was fully intentional. However, I drew this a while back, when I didn't know how to make white space transparent. But, now I know. ^^ I do it like this:
1. scan in a drawing.
2. in photoshop, select all and copy.
3. create a new layer, and fill it in black.
4. switch to quick mask mode, and paste into the black layer.
5. switch back to normal mode, and press delete.
All finished!
If I had wanted a cleaner line I could have stroked the outline of the drawing. Ah well. Practice makes perfect, right?
I don't particularly like Zelda, but I do like drawing her. Hopefully she'll be cooler in TP and actually do some of her own fighting... and I hope there's some kind of Malon-esque character in it too!cerasly

among_the_dead_1027.jpgAmong the Dead1274 viewsHaven't been around here in a long minute, so here's my latest Zelda piece, Among the Dead. I wanted to do a piece with Link in the graveyard with ghosts. This was the image I had in mind from the cemetery section of Zelda 1. This took me quite a while to draw at first, I couldn't quite get the pose for link right, so I kept trying different poses when I had free time. Once I finally had the pencils, it took me about a week / week and a half, on and off to Photoshop. The ghosts where somewhat difficult at first becuase the pencils for them were very unsubstantial, I pretty much had to paint them in with Photoshop. Anyway, hope you guys like it.Shady Gambino

You can compare it against the old version if you want, you will notice I have drawn a new face, fixed her neck to look less doll like and added some extra glow effects to the pattern across her body. I have also made color alterations to her body as a whole.
The reason for the update? I felt I needed to fix some things because at the time I rushed the image.
