8--Shadow_Link.pngZelda 2 AoL: Final Challenge Dark Link501 viewsApt title for this--it's the final boss of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, Dark Link (in this incarnation as Link's Shadow).

I used the screen shot as a reference, and added some glowing eyes to make it more evil.

archerkyliayounger.jpgThe Parents497 viewsKylia and Archer Newheart.
Parents of Link and Lina.
Horray for roleplaying and fanfiction. xD

Aye, this was a good amount of time before Kylia was pregnant with the twins. Maybe about a year or so before then?

LoZ1--Water_of_Life.jpgLoZ1 Water of Life494 viewsThe life refilling Water of Life from Zelda 1.

I used the manual art as reference--and made a little bit of artistic license here too.

LoZ2_Hammer.jpg
LoZ2_Hammer.jpgZelda 2 AoL Hammer494 viewsThe Hammer of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, inside the caves in Death Mountain.

Link needs this to break those boulders so he can continue.

I used the manual scan as reference for the hammer.

LoZ2_Fire.jpg
LoZ2_Fire.jpgZelda 2 AoL Fire Spell490 viewsLink shooting a fireball from his sword, courtesy of the Fire Spell, learned in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Sprites, screenshots, and official art were references here. See "Zelda 2 AoL Shield Spell" for reason the name of the spell is not in the artwork itself.

LoZ2_Fairy.jpg
LoZ2_Fairy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Fairy Spell489 viewsLink probably had trouble getting the keys, so he's using the Fairy Spell to get through a door in the Maze Palace, in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Sprites, official art, and screenshots were references (as well as artistic license). See "Zelda 2 AoL Shield Spell" for why the name of the spell is not in the artwork itself.

LoZ1--Manhandla.jpgLoZ1 Manhandla487 viewsThat pain in the tail Piranha Plant wannabe, Manhandla. I mean it--even the Magic Shield is no match for this weed. Your only hope is to use a bomb to kill it in one hit! Anyway, here's Manhandla.

My main reference was the official art in the manual.

LoZ2_Candle.jpg
LoZ2_Candle.jpgZelda 2 AoL Candle486 viewsThe (red) Candle in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, which makes traversing caves MUCH safer.

Here it is in the first palace--Parapa Palace! Crack crack crack the egg into the bowl! (Get it? Oh, never mind.)

Anyway, I used the manual scan as a reference for the candle, and VGMaps.com (with some artistic license) for the palace backdrop.

LoZ2--Wizzar.jpg
LoZ2--Wizzar.jpgZelda 2 AoL Wizzar482 viewsWizzar, the Wizzrobe relative (and disciple of Carock) from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Yes, Wizzar is its official name--I checked it in a Zelda Wiki.

I used a sprite as a character reference, and for the location, I once again used VGMaps (in this case, Maze Island Palace).

LoZ2--Megmut.jpg
LoZ2--Megmut.jpgZelda 2 AoL Megmut478 viewsThe bouncing armadillo, Megmut. Well, the official art (which I used as a reference) of Megmut looks like an armadillo to me.

Anyway, it's another Zelda 2: Adventure of Link enemy.

LoZ2_Handy_Glove.jpg
LoZ2_Handy_Glove.jpgZelda 2 AoL Handy Glove478 viewsThe Handy Glove of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, needed to break blocks.

Here it is, lying in Midoro (Swamp) Palace, waiting for Link to put it on.

I used the manual scan (and some artistic license) for the glove, and VGMaps.com (again, along with artistic license) for the palace background.

LoZ2_Magical_Key.jpg
LoZ2_Magical_Key.jpgZelda 2 AoL Magical Key478 viewsIt may not have a lion head, but the Magical Key in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link has the same purpose as the previous game--opening unlimited numbers of doors in Palaces... you'll need this in Three-Eye Rock Palace!

Here it is in New Kasuto Town.

I used the manual scan for reference for the key.

LoZ2_Shield.jpg
LoZ2_Shield.jpgZelda 2 AoL Shield Spell477 viewsThe Shield Spell from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Link is using it in Parapa Desert to get to the first Palace.

Now, I know that usually there should be the name of the spell here, but I forgot to put it up, and didn't realize it until I completed Jump Spell... by then, it was too late. So the spell artworks in my Zelda 2 stuff won't have the titles within the artworks themselves.

Anyway, as usual, sprites, screenshots, and official art were the references here.

Ganon.jpg
Ganon.jpgGanon476 viewsThe evil pig demon of DOOM!

I found a reference a long time ago, but I forgot which it was. All I know is it was an official art of Ganon in Zelda 1.

LoZ2SkullWarriorByDBoy.jpg
LoZ2SkullWarriorByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Skull Warrior476 viewsThe Skull Warrior, alias Paratamu, from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Here he is patrolling the Midoro (Swamp) Palace. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Midoro Palace is the Skull Warrior's first debut.

Anyway, I used a sprite as the reference, and I once again show how much I suck at drawing skeletons.

LoZ2_Raft.jpg
LoZ2_Raft.jpgZelda 2 AoL Raft473 viewsThe Raft in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, waiting in the Island Palace.

You'll need this to get to the other continent and continue the quest for the Triforce of Courage.

I used the instruction manual scan for reference on the raft, and VGMaps.com for reference in the palace... with a little artistic license thrown in.

LoZ2_Life.jpg
LoZ2_Life.jpgZelda 2 AoL Life Spell471 viewsLink patching up his wounds with the Life Spell in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Sprites, screenshots, and official art were references. See "Zelda 2 AoL Shield Spell" for why the name of the spell is not in the artwork itself.

LoZ2FotailByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Fotail470 viewsFotail, the more dangerous of the two "birdbrains" in the Great Palace, the final place to go to in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

I used the ingame sprite as the reference here. The official art (that I found in Zelda Wiki) has him looking like an alien bug. Anyway, here's Fotail.
