Well... imagine how depressed and shocked he was at the beginning, when he finally woke up from the seal the Master Sword put on him. Having lost all that time and then having to save Hyrule almost by himself! That's what I'm trying to express with this picture. I hope you like it. It took a lot of effort and I think I finally got better at making the clouds and the sky. Just watching how Link's hair turned out to be (thanks, tablet-chan X3 ) makes me drool, and he's the best hero in the history of videogames!!! XD AHHH! Somebody stop me from fainting! *faints and drools some more*

Aliku, because she was hired to kill him.
Link, because if Aliku dies, Zelda will live (it has to do with Zelda's prophetic dreams, where Aliku always kills her).
These claws Link is using are his Balam's claws, they were inspired by illustrations in the Sun calendar of the Aztecs.

I only drew the special areas, and the small sketch of volvagia compares his size to link. What I did is add in the spike on the elbow, Crested his brow with jewels, and made his skin more rough and molten-rock like. I also added that spike thing on his tail, just to make it unique and maybe another weapon he could use. The idea is that lava and fire lie just below his skin, so when he stretches, fire seeps out.
